ABOUT VIRTUAL MURRELL

As a student of political history, I have often wondered who the primary writers of African American history were.
Many African Americans have understandably felt disconnected from reading our history—largely because it has so often been told through the lens of White historians, some of whom have minimized or overlooked the richness of our heritage beyond slavery. When history is framed in this limited way, it fails to reflect the depth, resilience, and contributions of our community.
